Dundee Partnership Backs Extended Homework Club
Dundee United Community Trust is delighted to announce that Dundee Partnership, through Coldside Regeneration Forum, have supported delivery of an extended Homework Club programme in 2017/2018.
The generous funding of over £4,000 will allow us to extend our reach in the local community by delivering 4 new intakes of the programme within Coldside primary schools. This will allow anywhere up to 150 local children to get support in developing their numeracy, literacy and soft skills as well as getting access to physical activity sessions as part of the project.
Jamie Kirk, on behalf of DUCT, had this to say about the grant “We are really pleased and grateful to the support of the Dundee Partnership, through the Coldside Regeneration Forum. The pilot at Dens Road PS was fantastic as a Charity we place huge impetus on education, so it’s been fantastic to be able to develop strong links with the local schools. The 4 new intakes will benefit from more contact time and we’ve also been able to increase the number of coaches delivering the project as well as improving the physical resource provided to the children. I’m really excited to see the impact of the new sessions, which will start later in the year”.
