PAUL WILSON

Our long-serving Head of Community Development, Paul, Wilson, has today departed for a new challenge. Everyone at the Community Trust wishes Paul all the very best.

Paul had this to say about his time with DUCT “It has been an honour to have worked for and contributed to the growth of Dundee United Community Trust since 2018. Thank you to all our staff, volunteers, those who engaged with our services and those who supported our work during my time here.”

Jamie Kirk, Chief Executive for the Community Trust, added “Paul has been a fantastic asset for our Charity now for close to 5 years and has played a massive part in our success in recent years. We will miss his experience and wish him all the best for his upcoming new challenge.”

NEW STAFFING STUCTURE

Pauls departure gives the Community Trust the chance to freshen up our structure and give an opportunity for progression in our team as we continue to strive to improve the lives of people in Dundee and the surrounding areas.

Lisa Croll has been promoted to the position of Head of Operations and will work closely with our Chief Executive Jamie Kirk, taking the lead on the daily management of all of our Charity operations. Lisa commented “I’ve really enjoyed my first year working with DUCT and I’m excited for my new role and the challenges ahead.”

Mel Gormley also moves into the promoted position of Community Coaching Manager and will lead on driving forward our extensive community sports programme, providing line management support for Jamie Noble, Stacey and Euan and our team of sessional staff and volunteers. Mel had this to say about her new role “It’s been great working closely with Paul over the years, I’ve learned a lot. This new opportunity is really exciting and I can’t wait to get started.”

Jamie Kirk added “I’d like to put on record my congratulations to Mel and Lisa, they both really deserve these new opportunities. Both are fantastic assets to the Community Trust and I’m sure they will thrive in their respective new positions. I’m really looking to working with Lisa, Mel and the rest of the team on continuing to develop and expand our work.
