COMMUNITY PROJECTS

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IS A KEY AREA OF THE TRUST AND OUR COMMUNITY PROJECTS AIM TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS IDENTIFIED IN OUR COMMUNITIES AND SUPPORT ITS RESIDENTS.

Our Community Projects support people living in Dundee and the surrounding areas in a variety of ways, such as:

  • CHANGING ROOM

    The Changing Room supports men in their middle years, through a free 12-week programme which uses the power of football to tackle poor mental health and the stigma that surrounds it.

  • CLD UNITED

    CLD United is a peer-led diversionary project in the Maryfield ward that supports young people during the transition from school to employment and has been running for 20+ years.

  • FESTIVE FRIENDS

    Delivered in the build up to and on Christmas Day, Festive Friends aims to tackle loneliness, isolation, and poverty local residents and families face during the Festive period.

  • FOOTBALL MEMORIES

    Football Memories is a support group for people with dementia to come along and enjoy reminiscing about old games, old players, and other fond memories.

  • SOCCER SATURDAY

    Soccer Saturday is a free diversionary project based at Lochee Sports & Community Hub that provides young people with a safe place for a kickabout with their friends every Saturday night.

  • STILL GAME

    Still Game aims to improve the lives of older people in our community by tackling isolation, helping improve their social connections, and improving their physical health and mental wellbeing.

  • UNITED FOR KIDS

    In partnership with Dundee United FC and Dundee City Council, United For Kids provides free season tickets for children to attend Dundee United FC matches at Tannadice Park.
