Dundee United Community Trust has teamed up with Man v Fat Football to bring the popular health and wellbeing programme to Dundee.

Man V Fat Football provides a platform for men with a BMI of 27.5 or over to play football every week with likeminded people.

Players are placed in a team with men who want to lose weight too, they will know exactly what you’re going through, and you’ll be supported every step of the way by your team and coach. Your weight loss progress affects your team’s performance on the pitch, with rewards for hitting weight loss milestones too.

How it works …

WEIGH

Weigh in before each game to track your progress.

PLAY

You score points for weight loss and goals on the pitch.

LOSE

Team don’t win the league? You still lose weight. Result!

Paul Wilson, Head of Community Development at the Trust, commented on the new partnership, “We are excited to bring Man v Fat Football to Dundee. We’re looking forward to continuing to work with the team at Man v Fat as we believe this project will be brilliant for helping men in Dundee to lead a more active lifestyle and support them with sustainable weight loss.”

The Dundee league will start on Wednesday 24 August and will take place at New Beechwood Park from 7-9pm each week.
